It's My Birthday And I Will Cry If I Want To!!!

It's pretty clear that my title explains the purpose to this journal. It's my birthday and I am finally 16!!! I have had an amazing day but it's weird to think that in 5 years I will be 21. I don't know what to write really...but I will show you this amazing cake...

I went to the mall the other day and as I was searching Chapters, I stumbled into the cooking/baking section and found this book called, "Hello, Cupcake!" by Karen Tack & Alan Richardson. It has the most unique cupcakes I've ever seen yet. The book is practically my new obsession right now and everyone in my house is getting angry cause I bake too much, haha. But I advise anyone who has 20 bucks laying around to go buy it.

I know I have mentioned Pushing Daisies about a gazillion times, but seriously how can you not love this show? On Saturday they aired the first of the final three episodes and lets just say...I am hooked, yet again. But my friends, Victoria and Faith say that I will not be pleased with the ending.

This show has made me want to experience being kissed through plastic wrap, make cup pies and want to open my own bakery. I still can't believe they canceled this amazing show. :(

Finally here it is....Season Deux of Pushing Daisies, soon to be viewed on (hopefully) your high definition, great colour quality televisions on JULY 21ST!

It's Raining, It's Pooring.

So I am sitting here typing away to the sounds of my parent's yelling at each other in tagalog (I am sure I spelt that wrong) because my basement is about to flood. I seriously hate the fact that Winnipeg has the worst weather patterns...one day it's super nice and sun then next it's pooring. It's either Mother Nature has major mood swings or she just hates my city. As of right now my lower back is hurting because of lifting the buckets filled with water back outside. I am definitely moving out of this city for university and I cannot wait. On a good note (kinda?) I found this,

My Hello Kitty Toaster.

RANDOM STORY TIME:

So...during the summer I went to Edmonton and bought a HELLO KITTY TOASTER (how asian of me :P) at Urban Outfitters.

Since I've used the toaster the Hello Kitty imprint wasn't on the bread until now....

(Also this was my first time making egg salad...how pathetic, haha.)

I dropped the sandwich after the mini photoshoot was over. hahaha.

Dora The Explorer (As A Teenager)

Alright so I know I may be too old to be watching Dora the explorer, but I thought about this way back in August. I was hanging out with some of my family in Calgary, my baby cousin loves watching tree house, so we were kind of forced into watching it (although I like to watch Dora and attempt to learn Spanish, haha). And I said out loud to nobody in particular, "Wouldn't it be weird if they had a teenage version of Dora The Explorer?"
And guess what, apparently my wish is coming true;

So what I'm wondering is...does she ditch Boots and Swiper the fox? Loose "Map" and "Backpack" replacing them with an iphone and a purse?

Anybody Else Watching 'Caroline'?

I read the book, but I barely remember what happens...haha.
I love Henry Selick, he directed classics (The Nightmare Before Christmas) and personally my favourite...James and The Giant Peach, does anybody remember that?

So here's the deal, I tend to live in an alternative world where anything fictional is real. I zone in and out when people talk to me because I'm thinking of why Peter Pan, Ned The Pie Maker and Willy Wonka aren't real. It's sad, I know, but I can't help thinking of a world where they exist. I've decided to make a list of my favourite top 5 fictional characters in no particular order.

1: Edward Cullen (Twilight)

He's my latest obsession, I still can't get enough of Pushing Daisies.

He owns a goddamn Chocolate Factory, that's enough to get me hooked.

The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button.

I literally started crying near the start of this movie and til the very end. I was probably the only one in the theater with blood shot eyes at the end of it (I had to put on my Raybans to cover it up!). It was kinda a long movie and it dragged on quite a bit but this movie was definitely worth my nine dollars and my time. I advise anyone to watch it, it's worth it. I think it's time for me to spend my last twenty dollars (from Christmas) on F. Scott Fitzgerald's short story collection. :]

I think I might watch it again...?
